Ifchor Cape department came to life first april 2001, an awkward day. The idea was to bring a wider range of services to the company and allow Ifchor a better insight into the Industrial World.These two goals have been achieved.
It is safe to say that the volume of cape business generated has been significant both in physical and in the derivatives sector. The men at the desk sit side by side and are able switch form one to the other at the customers demand.
The Cape department has managed to conclude several medium terms contracts in the coal sector, and has established links with various power generators, steel producers and raw material suppliers.
The aim is to expand the desk in order to better serve the industry, and further our penetration in the capesize market.
